Building for everyone at the table

We hold ourselves to WCAG 2.2 AA as a floor, not a ceiling. If anything on this site trips you up, we treat it as a bug.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML, real anchor links, real form controls.
  • Visible focus rings on every interactive element.
  • Keyboard support for every custom widget — the cake configurator arrow-key navigates within a group, the booking wizard's step chips can be re-visited by keyboard.
  • Motion honors prefers-reduced-motion. Every animated section has a still fallback.
  • Color contrast tested against a design-token palette in both light and dark modes.
  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
  • Bilingual content in English and French across the whole site chrome.

Reporting an accessibility issue

Write to hello@zemgbaka.com with what you were trying to do and what happened. We aim to reply within 48 hours and to ship a fix within one working week.

What's still on our list

  • Screen-reader QA with real users of the Ottawa-Gatineau assistive-tech community.
  • Photography with proper descriptive alt text once real images replace placeholder art.
